Pilot passenger stepped in to help fly WestJet plane after first officer fell ill.

An off-duty pilot who was a passenger on a WestJet flight from Calgary to Vancouver helped fly the Boeing 737 after the first officer became ill mid-flight on December 4. Known to the crew, the pilot assisted in safely landing the plane before returning to their seat for the rest of the journey. The Canadian Transportation Safety Board confirmed the safe resolution of this incident.
