Pakistan's court orders election commission to respond by Jan. 16 on delayed Senate elections.

The Peshawar High Court has ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to respond by January 16 on the delay of Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The court, led by Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, set the deadline after the ECP requested more time to set an election date, citing ongoing consultations. The case was filed by PTI leader Azam Swati, challenging the delay in holding Senate elections in the province.
