Nigerian court remands Ooni's wife and two others over stampede that killed 35 children.
A Nigerian court in Ibadan has ordered the remand of Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, the school principal Abdullahi Fasasi, and Oriyomi Hamzat, the owner of Agidigbo FM, in connection with a stampede at a children's funfair that killed 35 children. The trio faces four charges including conspiracy, negligent acts, and failing to provide adequate security. Six other suspects have been released.
