New Zealand confirms H7N6 avian flu outbreak contained to one chicken farm; exports paused.

Officials in New Zealand have confirmed that the H7N6 avian flu detected at a chicken farm in Otago is contained to that single location. The farm is under strict biosecurity lockdown for cleaning. Despite the outbreak, no further cases have been detected after extensive testing. New Zealand temporarily halted poultry exports but reached an agreement with Australia to continue some poultry product exports. The Ministry for Primary Industries is working on decontamination and plans for resuming exports.
