Fargo City Commission ends camping ban, plans to collaborate on $2.5M homelessness initiative.
Fargo City Commission will adopt a more supportive role in addressing homelessness by ending a camping ban in 90 days and collaborating with local organizations like the FM Coalition to End Homelessness and the United Way of Cass Clay. The coalition proposed a 30, 60, 90-day plan to reduce homelessness, which includes raising $2.5 million and building supportive services. Mayor Tim Mahoney also considers a Community Service Center as a new strategy.
