The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced a ₹300-crore project to build a modern residential colony for medical staff at the Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh. The project aims to replace outdated staff quarters and will be constructed in phases to avoid disrupting staff duties. Sarma also provided funding for a Satradhikar undergoing treatment at the hospital.
