Seventy-three percent of Ukrainians support restoring their nuclear arsenal, survey shows.

A recent survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology found that 73% of Ukrainians support restoring the country's nuclear arsenal, while 20% oppose it and 7% are undecided. Support drops when considering the loss of Western support and potential sanctions. The study, conducted December 2-17, involved 2,000 respondents aged 18 and over. Despite the majority's support, Ukraine continues to adhere to its non-proliferation policy and seeks NATO membership for security.
