The RSF accuses the Joint Forces of ethnic cleansing and civilian killings, raising concerns about increased ethnic tensions between Arab tribes supporting the RSF and the Zaghawa tribe making up the Joint Forces. The UAE has pledged not to supply arms to the RSF, as urged by the US.
