NSW Police's Bleed4Blue campaign has led to 437 blood donations, potentially saving up to 1311 lives since December 1st.

Police in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens are donating blood as part of the Bleed4Blue campaign, launched after Detective Sergeant John Breda needed over 100 bags of blood to survive a 2018 operation. Since December 1st, NSW Police have made 437 donations, saving up to 1311 lives. The campaign aims to meet the high demand for blood, with Red Cross Lifeblood needing at least 33,000 donations weekly.
