Notre Dame's defensive tackle Rylie Mills, a senior captain, will miss the rest of the College Football Playoff due to a right knee injury sustained against Indiana. Mills led the team with 7.5 sacks this season. Despite the loss, Coach Marcus Freeman expressed hope Mills could return for the Sugar Bowl against Georgia on January 1. The team has already faced numerous injuries this season.
