India's retail inflation for rural workers drops to 5.35%-5.47%, down from 7.13%-7.37%, due to lower food prices.

In November, retail inflation for agricultural and rural laborers in India fell to 5.35% and 5.47% respectively, down from 7.37% and 7.13% in November 2023. The decrease is attributed to lower prices of food items, vegetables, pulses, and essential goods. The All-India Consumer Price Index for these groups increased by 5 points each, reaching 1,320 and 1,331, respectively. This marks the second consecutive month of slowing inflation, providing relief to vulnerable populations.
