CNOOC begins production at a new oilfield in China's Bohai Sea, targeting 9,700 barrels daily by 2026.

CNOOC Limited has started production at the Suizhong 36-2 Oilfield project in China's Bohai Sea. Located in the Liaodong Bay with an average water depth of 27 meters, the project includes a new unmanned platform and 21 wells, aiming for a peak production of about 9,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2026. CNOOC, the operator with 100% interest, will use adjacent projects' facilities for processing and transporting the crude.
