Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inaugurated new resettlement areas in Lao Cai province, aiding recovery from Typhoon Yagi, which caused 139 deaths and $275 million in damage. The projects, completed ahead of schedule, include housing and infrastructure in three heavily affected villages. Chinh stressed the importance of ongoing disaster recovery and prevention efforts.
