PAGASA has issued Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 for the Kalayaan Islands as Tropical Depression Romina approaches the Philippine area of responsibility. Romina, moving north northeastward, is 365 kilometers south of Pag-asa Island with winds of 55 kph and gusts up to 70 kph. It may strengthen into a tropical storm within 12 hours before weakening. Wave heights up to 4.5 meters are expected, and mariners are advised to seek shelter.
