Haifa International Airport reopens after a year, launching new flights and upgraded facilities.
Haifa International Airport in Israel has resumed both domestic and international flights after being closed for over a year due to conflict. The reopening was marked by a ceremony attended by Transport Minister Miri Regev. Air Haifa, a new airline, launched services with flights to Eilat and Larnaca, Cyprus, and plans to add a route to Athens starting January 2. The airport's infrastructure has been upgraded, including a new runway and biometric screening stations. A shuttle service connecting the airport to public transport was also introduced.
