Study shows religious people give more to co-religionists but not overall to non-religious.
A recent study involving Christians, Muslims, and atheists from Sweden, the U.S., Egypt, and Lebanon found no significant difference in generosity between religious and non-religious people, except when religious affiliation was revealed.
In that case, religious participants tended to give more to those of the same faith.
The study included 1,700 participants and did not include other religious or non-religious groups.
