Pennsylvania's unemployment rate rose to 3.5% in November, staying below the national rate of 4.2%. Despite a decrease in the labor force and a drop of 2,500 in total nonfarm jobs, sectors like education and health services hit record highs, adding 47,300 jobs over the year. Seven of eleven industry sectors saw job losses, but eight had gains, with total yearly nonfarm jobs up by 90,300.
