Oklahoma's Attorney General questions Governor's budget accuracy, citing concerns over tax cut support.
Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has criticized the state's budget estimates, alleging they have been manipulated by Governor Kevin Stitt's administration to support an income tax cut. Drummond questions the accuracy of the projections and was absent from the budget meeting due to a lack of confidence in the numbers. Despite decreased revenue estimates, Stitt supports the tax cut. The budget for fiscal year 2026 will be $191 million less than the current year, partly due to changes in sales tax and school funding.
