Malaysia makes its highways toll-free for Christmas to ease travel for millions.

Malaysia's Works Minister announced that the country's highways will be toll-free for private vehicles on December 23 and 24 to celebrate Christmas. The toll exemption, which will cost the government approximately RM38 million, is expected to ease travel for around 2.55 million vehicles during the festive season and school holidays. However, the exemption does not apply at certain toll plazas near national borders.
