Joseph Schmidt-Rehbein sentenced to 5.5 years for role in 2023 fentanyl death in Wisconsin.

Joseph Schmidt-Rehbein was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and ten and a half years of supervision for his role in a 2023 fentanyl overdose death in Ripon, Wisconsin. The victim had a fentanyl level of 4.0 ng/mL at the time of death. Maison Springston was sentenced to seven years, and Donavyn Mueller, believed to be the primary drug supplier, is scheduled for sentencing on February 7. The case was investigated by the Ripon Police Department.
