The ministry is working with private investors to boost solar energy, aiming for a 3,000 to 4,000 MW increase by next fiscal year. Currently, Iran's renewable energy plants have a 1,317 MW capacity, with solar power plants contributing 608 MW. The government is promoting renewable energy by diversifying project financing and increasing the limit of guaranteed electricity purchases.
