Officials in Washington, D.C., have kicked off the $800 million renovation of Capital One Arena, home to the NHL's Washington Capitals and NBA's Washington Wizards. The project, set to be completed by fall 2027, involves modernizing the arena with expanded locker rooms, more suites, and other amenities. The renovation, funded by $515 million from the city and $285 million from Monumental Sports and Entertainment, will enhance the fan and player experience and secure the teams in the city through 2050.
