A new museum in Cameroon showcases over 10,000 artifacts of the ancient Bamoun kingdom.

The Musée des Rois Bamoun opened in Foumban, Cameroon, in 2024, featuring over 10,000 objects that highlight 600 years of the Bamoun kingdom's history, one of the oldest in sub-Saharan Africa. The museum's striking architecture includes a two-headed snake at its entrance and a spider on top. Exhibits showcase royal artifacts, weapons, and art, representing the cultural and artistic heritage of the Bamoun people.
