Major machinery arrives in Ohio town to support local firm's transition to electric vehicle production.
A major shipment of machinery, weighing 770 tonnes and costing $7 million, has arrived in a Lake Erie town after a three-month journey. The machinery's acquisition is partly due to the proximity of Volkswagen's upcoming $7 billion electric vehicle battery plant, which is set to open in 2027 and is expected to create further economic opportunities in the region.
