Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov announced the start of construction for a new railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on December 27. The 486-kilometer railway, planned for decades, aims to boost trade and industry by handling up to 12 million tons of cargo annually. The project, budgeted at $14 million and managed by a Chinese-Kyrgyz-Uzbek subsidiary, will connect key cities and enhance regional trade relations.
