India Post Payments Bank opened 2.68 crore accounts in 2024, with 59% owned by women and 77% in rural areas. The bank facilitated direct benefit transfers to 3.62 crore customers, totaling Rs 34,950 crore. Additionally, it enhanced parcel delivery efficiency by setting up 233 nodal delivery centers and installing RFID gates at 42 major mail hubs.
