Hyundai Motor India to use locally made AGM batteries, boosting localization and meeting emission standards.

Hyundai Motor India is set to become the first Indian automaker to use locally made AGM batteries in its vehicles, in partnership with Amara Raja Energy & Mobility. This move, planned for the fourth quarter of 2025, aims to enhance localization and meet the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiative. The AGM batteries will improve performance and help Hyundai meet emission standards, also supporting economic growth and reducing environmental impact in India.
