EIB and Iberdrola sign €100M loan for a new Sicily solar plant, powering 154,000 homes.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Iberdrola have signed a €100 million loan agreement for a new 242.78 MWp photovoltaic plant in Sicily, Italy, set to power about 154,000 households. Backed by SACE's Archimede Guarantee, the project aims to boost Italy's renewable energy goals and create jobs, contributing to local economic development. The plant is expected to be operational by 2025.
