Companies MAIRE, NextChem, and Newcleo form a joint venture to develop a new nuclear power plant using recycled waste as fuel.

MAIRE, NextChem, and Newcleo have formed a joint venture to develop a new 200 MWe nuclear power plant using advanced modular reactor technology. This project aims to accelerate the commercialization of the "LFR-AS-200" reactor, which uses recycled nuclear waste as fuel, aligning with a circular economy model. The joint venture will also offer technical services to other non-competing reactor providers, supporting the transition to Generation IV nuclear technologies. The agreement is set to finalize by February 2025.
