A century-old home near Waterford, Ontario, was destroyed by fire on Wednesday afternoon. The blaze was reported around 4:45 p.m. on Old Hwy 24 and Concession 11 Townsend. Norfolk County firefighters, aided by five stations, controlled the fire but could not extinguish it by 8:30 p.m. Two people were inside; one was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and later released.
