Community rallies, donating over 2,000 toys after roof leak ruins holiday donations at Pittsburgh health center.

After a roof leak destroyed holiday toy donations at UPMC Matilda H. Theiss Health Center in Pittsburgh, the community responded by donating over 2,000 toys in just two and a half weeks. The influx was ten times the normal amount. The Thelma Lovette YMCA stepped in to assist, and additional support came from local universities, businesses, and organizations. The drive now supports not only the health center's patients but also families in the Hill District neighborhood, providing toys, coats, and other essentials for about 600 children.
