AHF urges vaccine makers and wealthy nations to boost mpox vaccine supply in Africa.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is urging Bavarian Nordic to prioritize mpox vaccine production in Africa and share technology with local manufacturers. AHF also calls for wealthy nations to donate their Jynneos vaccine stockpiles to affected countries, especially as the Democratic Republic of Congo reports over 50,000 mpox cases and more than 1,000 deaths, with children most impacted. This push aims to prevent vaccine inequity seen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
