Study shows dancing reduces depression in Parkinson's patients, improving brain function over time.

A new study from York University in the Journal of Medical Internet Research shows that dancing can ease depression in Parkinson's disease patients. Researchers followed participants in the Sharing Dance Parkinson's program for 8 months and found that depression scores dropped after each class, with improvements accumulating over time. MRI scans revealed reduced signals in brain regions linked to emotional regulation, suggesting dance benefits both mood and brain function.
