Over 500 cyberattacks on Israeli universities since 2021 conflict; ceasefire talks continue.

Since the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began in October 2021, 517 cyberattacks have been reported against Israeli universities and colleges, with some thwarted and others causing significant damage. The Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) conducted a cybersecurity drill at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo to improve higher education institutions' readiness to handle such threats. Meanwhile, indirect negotiations for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the US, are ongoing.
