Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia, has kept the country's main interest rate at 6%, as predicted by most economists. This move aims to support the weakening rupiah currency. Out of 31 economists polled by Reuters, 17 expected the rate to stay unchanged, while 14 forecast a quarter-point reduction.
