Former Massachusetts Attorney General and Lt. Governor Frank Bellotti, 101, has died.
Frank Bellotti, a former Massachusetts Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor, has died at 101. Known for his dedication to civil rights and legal professionalism, Bellotti served as attorney general for three terms and mentored many, including current Governor Maura Healey. A World War II Navy SEAL, Bellotti also ran for governor three times. Flags will be flown at half-staff in Boston as a mark of respect. Bellotti is survived by 11 children, 25 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
