Eight major Japanese telecom companies have joined forces to quickly restore communication networks after large-scale disasters. Starting December 1, 2024, the collaboration includes sharing assets and using ships from NTT and KDDI for transporting supplies. The goal is to enhance coordination between mobile and fixed-line operators to swiftly restore communication in disaster zones and support a sustainable society.
