Australia to reopen embassy in Kyiv and provide $166 million in new aid for Ukraine.

Australia plans to reopen its embassy in Kyiv next month, three years after closing it due to Russia's invasion. Foreign Minister Penny Wong announced the move during her first visit to Ukraine since the conflict began. Australia will also provide $66 million for reconstruction, $10 million for heating and electricity, and $80,000 to support vulnerable Ukrainian families. The country has already provided over $1.5 billion in aid since the invasion began in 2022.
