Amazon sells its 4% stake in Indian retail chain Shoppers Stop for Rs 276 crore, exiting a 2018 investment.

Amazon has exited its investment in Indian retail chain Shoppers Stop by selling a 4% stake for Rs 276 crore. The shares were bought by asset management firms including 360 One, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, and Morgan Stanley. Following the transaction, Shoppers Stop's shares rose 1.20% to close at Rs 635.15. This move marks Amazon's exit from a company it initially invested in back in January 2018.
