Nigerian lawmakers demand release of detained cattle herders' leader Bello Badejo.

The Nigerian House of Representatives has demanded the release of Bello Badejo, the president of Miyetti Allah, who was unlawfully detained by the military. The House summoned top military officials to explain the detention and ordered an apology to Badejo for violating his human rights. The Patriotic Youth for Better Nigeria (PAYOBEN) also called for Badejo's immediate release, citing his deteriorating health and the unconstitutionality of his detention without trial.
