Israeli authorities arrested a Jerusalem resident suspected of plotting attacks for Iran for money.

Israeli authorities arrested a 23-year-old Jerusalem resident, Ardelar Israel Amoyal, suspected of plotting attacks under Iranian direction for financial gain. Amoyal allegedly planned to disrupt the Jerusalem light rail's power supply and obtain weapons and explosives. He contacted Iranian intelligence via social media. The arrest follows the capture of nearly 30 individuals accused of spying for Iran in nine covert cells, marking Iran's largest infiltration effort in decades. An indictment against Amoyal is expected soon.
