Indian rail company RVNL gets ₹270 crore contract to build metro stations despite profit drop.

State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) received a ₹270 crore contract to build ten elevated metro stations for the second phase of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project, expected to be completed in 30 months. Despite a 27% year-on-year drop in net profit, RVNL's revenue rose by 19.2% in Q2 FY25. The company's shares have seen significant gains, up 158% in 2024 and 570% over two years.
