India allocates funds to upgrade a road in Manipur, aiming to boost local economy and tourism.

The Indian government has approved Rs777.61 crore to upgrade the Shangshak-Tengnoupal Road in Manipur, converting it from a single lane to a two-lane road with a hard shoulder. The 48-kilometer stretch connects Ukhrul and Kamjong districts. This project aims to boost road capacity, reduce vehicle operating costs, and enhance local tourism and business, contributing to the socio-economic growth of the region.
