Author Brian D'Ambrosio sentenced to 6 months for selling stolen historical artifacts from Montana museum.
Brian Anthony D'Ambrosio, a 50-year-old author, was sentenced to six months in federal prison for stealing and selling historical artifacts over 100 years old from the Montana Historical Society on eBay. He must also pay $22,508 in restitution and a $4,000 fine. The stolen items, including letters by Nancy Russell, wife of Western artist Charlie Russell, were valued over $5,000. Some items remain unrecovered.
