Two men pleaded guilty to shooting a man and terrifying children during a failed Gateshead home robbery.

Two masked men, Lincoln Adams and James Earle, pleaded guilty to firing a shotgun into a Gateshead home during a botched robbery attempt, wounding a 42-year-old man and frightening three young children inside. Adams, 25, claimed he did not hear the children, while Earle, 40, expressed remorse. Adams' former partner pleaded guilty to hindering evidence, and Earle's partner had charges dropped. Their sentencing is set for Tuesday, with their differing attitudes toward the children's presence influencing the judge's decision.
