South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo became the acting president after the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol. Yoon was suspended for attempting to impose martial law. Han, a career technocrat with experience in finance, trade, and diplomacy, will lead the country until the Constitutional Court decides on Yoon’s fate. If Yoon is removed, an election must be held within 60 days.
