Nigeria launches free health services for mothers, children, and adolescents in Lagos.
The Lagos State Government has launched its second round of free maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services plus nutrition (MNCAH+N) from December 16-20. The initiative includes vaccinations, vitamin A supplementation, deworming, malnutrition screening, HIV and TB testing, and birth registration. Over 4,000 health workers have been trained to deliver these services at over 1,400 centers across the state, aiming to reduce maternal and child mortality and improve health access.
