NCERT in India cuts textbook prices by 20% for classes 9-12, aiming to make education more affordable.

NCERT in India has announced a 20% reduction in textbook prices for classes 9-12 for the next academic year, marking the first significant price cut. NCERT Director Dinesh Prasad Saklani attributed the reduction to improved paper procurement and advanced printing technology. Textbooks for grades 1-8 will still cost Rs 65 each. NCERT has also partnered with Amazon and Flipkart to improve nationwide access to genuine textbooks.
