Maruti Suzuki is developing a seven-seat version of its Grand Vitara SUV, codenamed Y17, to compete with models like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus. Expected to be built at Maruti's new Kharkhoda plant and debut by the end of 2025, the Y17 will share the same platform and engine options as the current five-seater. The company is also testing a facelift for the existing Grand Vitara, expected in 2025, featuring design and tech updates.
