The Union Home Ministry is working with Kerala Police on a case involving 1,425 Keralites, including 700 nurses, who left Kuwait without repaying approximately Rs 700 crore in loans. Ten FIRs have been registered, and authorities are considering severe penalties, such as canceling nursing licenses, if the loans are not repaid. The defaulters have moved to countries like the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
